IBIZA EXPAT

There's a little club in Es Canar called Release (previously Kancela) which has an open mic night every Friday from about 9pm until midnight. Anyone can go along and perform to the predominantly Spanish crowd. Singers, dancers, bands, comedians, wacky artists...

The club is on the right hand side as you approach the centre of Es Canar. It's on the lower ground and you'll see a well lit stairway. You can't miss it.

No need to get dressed up. Pretty relaxed and friendly crowd.

Hey lovely

Im sorry it took me so long to write, anyway, this week there will be no open stage for the first time- because we're having a big performance in Dalt Vila, Plaza Reina Sofia 8.00 o clock..... will be nice, its a Moving Perfo, walking through the old town...within the cultural week of Japan. We'll all be playing.
Last week was a beautiful one... so the next one will be- not this Friday but next. And from then on every week again.

Okay so lets start....

The Open Stage (Escenario Abierto) -Proyect´s idea is to provide a space where artists can express themselves. From musicians to actors, clowns, dancers, performers, poets or simply people who would like to try, to play to be an artist or simply to play or share something they feel- with the public. Or present an idea or share a thought or announce something interesting that s happening in Ibiza. 

Our filosophy is based on color, love and alegria. And as we've all been through enough judging in life we try to provide this space for free expression without fears or demands for perfectness. The most important is to feel comfortable and we try everything to make the carefully opening artist-blossoms feel at home. As well as "new" artists , it's perfect for "old" ones.... that are nostalgic about their "sleeping passion" and would like to re-live it. Also artists that have a "work in progress" and would like to test an audience's reaction. There are also possibilities of for example Photo- or video- proyections if you want to present visual art, decoration, whatever. We are open to any idea!
 
Also if you like an artistic atmosphere and feel like getting to know new people and the alternative ibizan life, this is the right place.
 
The doors open at 8.00 so people who come with the idea to act sing, read or whatever should be there by 9.00 so we can put them on he list and start building the programme.
